Denise Brillon-Hill reorganizes and reworks some of the original
designs to create a format that maximizes the curves and formlines.
The result is an exotic piece that still carries the integrity
of the artist. Brillon-Hill says it’s like looking through
a camera lens and taking a picture. “It’s your perspective.
It’s how you see it.” Her focus is on the simplicity
of the curves and shapes and the way they flow. “They
remind me of Pucci’s swirling prints except they are our
very own West Coast designs. How exotic is that? Everyone had
to have a Pucci back in the old days.. Now, hopefully, they’ll
have to have an Artifaax design.”
